1- What do you Collect?
Horror figures,posters, film props etc
2- When and How did you start Collecting and what keeps you going?
Started collecting at 16. Keeps me going is the range of items out there and the passion for collecting.
3- Why do you Collect what you Collect?
I love horror movies, so its only natural I collect horror stuff.
4- When did you begin to display your Collection?
From the start of collecting.
5- How do you get your inspiration to organize and display your Collection?
From a friend who had a collection, he was my inspiration for the way I organzine my stuff.
6- Do you "Collect 'em all", or just the ones you like?
Well Im actually pretty choosie about what I collect. Mainly Sideshow and NECA. Anything that is high quaulity.
7- Do you have a favorite character that you Collect?
A toss between Frankenstein and the Wolf Man
8- Which item in your Collection would you say is your absolute favorite and why?
Have to say my screen used Radar gun from "Slither" (among other Slither stuff) The movie rocks! And its pretty cool to own a piece of the film.
9- How much do you spend a month on your Collection?
DVDS- I spend about 200 a month. Collectables about 50-100 a month.
10- Which item was the most difficult to obtain?
Nothing really.. You just need to know what you want and be patient.
11- What is the oldest item you own and the one with the most value?
Oldest item: Ben Cooper Halloween costume from the 50s. Most vaulable: Chain Prop from Black Snake Moan.
12- What is your "Holy Grail"?
Original Don Post masks. Mr. Rogers sweater.
13- What inspires your to purchase an item to add to your Collection?
If it looks cool, and its something i just cant live without.
14- Customizing figures and statues has become very big, have you ever purchased a custom figure or statue and have you ever tried making one?
No, and never made one.
15- Where do you make most of your purchases from?
Ebay. Pure and simple.
16- How does your partner (wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend) feel about your collection?
Thinks its cool, not his thing but he likes it.
17- Do you ever get hassled about being a toy collector?
Nope, most people think its neat.
18- What will happen to your collection after you've passed away?
Thrown away, unless I found a person, as into it as I was, to will it too.
19- Is your collection insured?
Not at the moment.
20- What is missing from your collection that you hope to one day acquire?
More film props. AHI Universal figures,etc.
21- What toy did you have as a kid that you most wish you had kept or, at least, kept in good condition for your collection?
Masters of the Universe playset.
22- If you needed to raise cash quick, would you consider selling (some of) your collection? If so, what would you NEVER sell?
I would have to really be hard up to sell anything. i would not sell any of my film props. Im greedy like that.
23- What is the usual reaction when people see your collection?
People are intrested, but you can tell they really dont get why I do it.
24- Do you attend conventions for some of your purchases? could you tell us about that?
Horror conventions. I get DVDS, and figures etc.
25- Most collectors today go on what they call a toy run, do you participate in that as well? And what are your favorite spots? Tell us about your routine.
Not really, im sure thats a borring anwser. Theres times a have an Ebay run... does that count?
26- How do you decide what to take out of the package and what stays sealed?
When i first started a took everything out of the package. Now everything stays in package, unless I buy two of them.
27- At what stage do you think your collection will be at 10 years from now, do you think you would have grown tired of it?
I hope its triple in size, and I dont think i would ever get tired of it.
28- What advice would you give someone who just started a collection?
Collect what you love and dont worry what anybody thinks of it.
