Q- I'm a collector of GI.Joe, Robotech, Transformers, Mego, Godzilla, JLA, .He-Man, M.A.S.K and Anime. My question is, how do I keep them clean from dust?
- Mike Hill
A- Ah... Dust. The number one nemesis of any Collector. The best way to keep your Collection free of dust is by using display cases. Display cases not only will help you keep your Collection dust free, but they also look great when set up properly.
The problem with display cases is that they can be expensive. But luckily there are a few inexpensive options out there.
You can start out like I did with fish tanks. Fish Tanks are a great inexpensive way to display your stuff. These can usually be purchased fairly cheap at your local pet shop or sometimes you can even find them on the street! (Just make sure you cover the top!)

Then there is the Ikea Detolf. A favorite of many Collectors. These are great display cases and at US $59.99, they are a bargain!
If you like keeping your collection out in the open, like on a shelf, you might want to invest in some Swiffer Dusters. They have specially treated fibers that trap and lock dirt and dust.
Q- Who do you think is making the biggest impact in the Toy Collecting world?
-John Lajara
A- As far as I am concerned, Sideshow Collectibles is making the biggest impact today. They make museum quality, top notch collectibles and I don't see any other toy company even coming close to them. They have been making quality collectibles for a while now, but I think getting the Star Wars license really put them on the map with the "non-collector" public. As everyone knows, I am a huge fan of theirs and spend so much money on their products I deserve a wing in their offices named after me.
But the biggest impact over all has to go to McFarlane collectibles. They are the ones that made all other companies step up and make better toys. With their high quality sculpts, they definitely were the pioneers in this new era of Collectibles.
Q- How many displays is too many?
- Christopher Pike
A- If you ask me, it all depends on how much room you have to walk. When I had a smaller apartment, I had displays all over my room and slept in the middle of the room on an inflatable bed. And I still wanted more! I cant get enough of displaying my Collection and if you are reading this I guess you might feel the same.
You can never have too many displays. :)
