1- What is it that you collect?
Boglins, Horror figures, WWE, Star wars, Lord of the rings, rock n roll, Street fighter, and other stuff.
2- What was it that brought you to collecting? And what is that keeps you going?
I always loved toys, what keeps me going is I think if I stoped I would be very bored.
3- When did you start collecting?
I never really stopped, ha-ha. Five I guess?
4- Why Do you Collect what you Collect?
I collect anything that I have an interest in, which is a lot of stuff.
5- When did you start displaying them?
Around age 16/17.
6- How do you get your inspiration to organize and display your collection?
I think star wars was the first thing I started to collect when I was too old for toys, so my excuse was I'm a collector, that’s why I displayed them, for an excuse if you will.
7- Do you have a favorite character(s) you collect?
Right now I'm really into the Classic WWE Line. Sideshow's Highlander stuff too.
8- Which item in your collection would you say is your absolute favorite and why?
That's really hard, maybe my 1/6 George Lucas? It's pretty rare and stands out.
9- Which item was the most difficult to obtain? And which one is your prized possession?
Took me a while to get the Twilight Frodo, of course when I got it I was on to something else.
10- What is the oldest item you own? and the one with the most value?
Either my mego Spock or my bendy from close encounters of the third kind. Value? I'm not really sure, value doesn't mean much to me. maybe my 1/6 scale Hitler.
11- What inspires you to purchase an item to add to your collection?
It's more like what stops me, ha-ha.
12- Customizing figures and statues has become very big, have you ever purchased a custom figure or statue and have you ever tried making one?
I have a couple, but I haven't made or bought one in a while.
13- What do you think of the custom Craze?
It's cool, people are making things that are not made, if I had more talent I would be into more I think.
14- Where do you make most of your purchases from? Ebay seems to be a favorite with collectors these days, are you an ebayholic?
I’ve gotten a few things from ebay, not all toys though. I try and find stuff at retail. I got my boglin collection from ebay.
15- Is your collection insured?
No, good idea though.
16- What is missing from your collection that you hope to one day acquire?
How about more room to display it?
17- What is the usual reaction when people see your collection?
#$$%#$%%, or this is cool, while slightly
being freaked out.
18- Do you attend conventions for some of your purchases? Could you tell us about that?
I went to comic con and icon and some others. Conventions are a lot of fun.
19- Most collectors today go on what they call a toy run; do you participate in that as well? And what are your favorite spots? Do you have a routine?
I go on way too many toy runs. This is Long Island, no shortage of malls.
20- How do you decide what to take out of the package and what stays sealed?
If it has good playability or if I have a large collection of it already, stuff that I have few of normally stays moc.
21- At what stage do you think your collection will be at 10 years from now, do you think you would have grown tired of it?
Probably not. I think it will be much bigger, or maybe not considering I have no room.
22. What advice would you give someone who just started a collection?
Try and keep it simple, it's worst then most drug habits.
