Ahhh... Who needs a desk anyway?

Desks are overrated.  At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.  You see, for a while now I have wanted a proper display for my G.I. Joe figures and vehicles.  I had a few of them set up in one section of another case, but I was never really happy with it. These have always been my all-time favorite toys and I have a TON of them so I really wanted to do them justice.

I would always look around my Collection room and try to see how I could move around the display cases to make room for another.  (Kind of like trying to fit in a piece of a puzzle) I came to the quick (and sad) realization that I no longer have room for another display case. I even thought of buying yet another Ikea Detolf and squeeze it in somewhere (I love those cases) but there would not be enough room in it to properly display a G.I. Joe collection.  So I was kind of in a bind.

Then, while sitting at my desk and trying to figure this out, I thought to myself, “Hey! I can get rid of this desk and put a case right in here!” Seemed like a good idea. Do I really need this desk?  I mean, a desk is kind of cumbersome, right? This is the age of mobile computing, is it not? I have an IPad and am waiting for the new MacBook Pro coming out mid-june, so I can do my computing anywhere in the house! As you can see, it was not very hard to convince myself. Hahaha.  

Then I found a display case on craigslist really, really cheap and that’s all she wrote.  Now where to display my sword collection?  Hmmmm.
